Isaac Mwesigwa has replaced Hamza Jjunju who has accepted to leave his position as the CEO by a mutual Consent for the Mayuuni based club.

The development has been confirmed by the club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka which partly read, “As we continue to rebuild our club, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Mwesigwa as the new Express Fc Chief Executive Officer”

Mwesigwa is currently a technical and support manager for an American Fiber optics company based in USA representing Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe.

“I would like to take tbis opportunity to thank Mr. Hamza Jjunju, the outgoing CEO, for a job well done in steering the club over the past few years” Kiryowa Kiwanuka.

Hamza Jjunju has thanked the club board, technical team, players, fans, sponsors and media for the good relationship he has had as he served the mighty Express football club.

Isaac Mwesigwa comes with good experience in player development and talent identification having been part of the success of players like Allan Okello, Mustapha Kizza among others.

Express Fc is the oldest football club in Uganda having been founded in 1957 and since then have won the league six times; 1974, 1975, 1993, 1995, 1996 and 2011-12.
