Police in Luuka district have started a hunt for a glaring suspect for smacking to death another man he accused of having a sexual affair with his wife.
The deceased is David Swaga 42 years, a resident of Kakubi Village in Waibuga Sub-County.
Preliminary reports from police indicate that on that fateful day, the fuming husband stormed the home of Swaga and started hauling insults at him before instigating a fight.
It is alleged that Swaga was dealt a hard blow to the chest that immediately rendered him unconscious.
Noel Maka the Kakubi Village LC1 Chairperson says the suspect husband had just returned from a journey that he had made to Busei Village in Iganga District.
Maka says the fight gathered a crowd from the neighborhood who quickly rushed the deceased to a nearby clinic where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Locals claim the suspect fled on the same motorcycle he used to attack Swaga.
Police have started investigations as they look for the suspect in connection with the murder of Swaga.
