St. Mary’s stadium has been the home of Vipers Sc since March 2017 when it was officially opened with a CAF Confederation Cup match between Vipers and Platinum Stars of South Africa.

Earlier this year in March, FIFA and CAF certified the facility as fit to host international engagements after an inspection from Daniel Amokachi.

In readiness for next season where Vipers are set to represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League, the VIP section expansion has taken place during the lockdown.

The new expansion, adding a further 600 seats to bring the section’s capacity upto 1,225 will officially be opened to the public at the crowning of Vipers as the 2019/20 league champions.

Vipers stadium manager Edward Junior Mulindwa said they installed more seats in the VIP area to accommodate more fans to sit comfortably.
