Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko is set to join Ghana giants Asante Kotoko as per the news from Ghana.

The center-back has been a free agent since leaving Morocco’s Wydad Cassablanca last year.

Locally, he has been linked with Venoms before the deal immaterialised with the UPL champions failing to meet the player’s demands.

Murushid Juuko who has featured for Uganda Cranes in two AFCON finals in 2017 and 2019 respectively will help Asante Kotoko to compete in the CAF Champions League next season.

Asante Kotoko has won the champions league twice 1970 and 1993 as well as winning the Ghana top league 24 times.

Juuko who once played for Bunamwaya, Sports Club Victoria University, Tanzania’s Simba and Wydad Casablanca will join Joseph Ochaya and George Abege as Ugandan players to have played for Asante Kotoko.
