Israel Premier  League side Fc Ashdod have confirmed acquiring Uganda Cranes and Vipers forward Fahad Bayo.

Fahad Bayo and Serbian defender Nenan  Svetkevic have been confirmed as the club’s new signings ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Bayo scored 12 goals in 23 league appearances for Vipers which he joined last year after leaving Zambia based club Buildcon Fc.

“Fahad Bayo and Svetkovich will soon arrive in Israel and join their new friends immediately after completing their isolation duty upon entering the country”

Fahad Bayo who started his football career with Lugazi Youth Academy and Friends Soccer Academy had wonderful performances last season and attracted interests of other clubs from South Africa, Morocco and Algeria.

He is also remembered in Kibuli SS where at one time he emerged as the top scorer in the National Secondary Schools Competition commonly known as Copa Coca-Cola in 2014 when he scored 11 goals for Kibuli SS thus emerging into champions of the tournament.

Fahad Bayo who joined Proline Fc in 2014 before leaving Zambian side Buildcon Fc in 2018 will join other Ugandans in the Israel top league who include Luwagga Kizito (Hapoel Kfar Saba) and Timothy Denis Awany who is going to be a team-mate.
