The drama surrounding Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine’s real age has taken a new twist. Last week on Wednesday, Bobi Wine’s date of birth on the Parliamentary Website was changed from 12th February 1982 to 12th February 1980.

It was reported that Bobi Wine and his team were the ones behind these changes. However it turns out that apparently it was another person who accessed the website and made the changes.

Bobi swears in the name of Jesus Christ that he didn’t temper with his records! He has taken it to his Facebook page and denied.

“This morning, my attention was drawn to an alteration in my information on the website of Parliament. My year of birth was altered from 1982 to 1980 without my knowledge. I immediately called the IT department of Parliament and they claimed not to know who made that change. I have tasked them to explain that and will be speaking to the Director soon. In the meantime, they rectified the anomaly immediately.

My assurance to all of you friends is that there is no cause for alarm with regard to all my records – whether academic or otherwise. I will soon address all of you about the specifics. In the meantime, treat these as the usual desperate attempts by the regime to block, embarrass or detract its opponents. Unfortunately, at every interval, they have always easily found some tools to use in these shameful manoeuvres. They have done worse things and they will do more, but NOTHING, COMPLETELY NOTHING will stop our revolution.” his post reads.

Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) boss, Daniel Nokrach Odongo confirmed that Bobi Wine sat his S4 exams at the age of 16 in 1996 and S6 final exams at the age of 18 in 1996.

Odongo made it clear that Kyagulanyi sat his examination of the Ordinary and Advanced level between November and December. This was after city lawyer Male Mabirizi who doubts the presidential hopeful’s academic credentials reached out to UNEB for clarification.
