He is non other than Philip Omondi, Uganda’s greatest player of all time magnificent member of Uganda’s 1978 Africa Cup of Nations losing finalists and joint top scorer in the competition.

He made his debut for Uganda in 1973. A commanding figure, he was regarded by many as the biggest center forward in Africa.

Omondi was a versatile footballer but mostly played center forward. He was a model, brilliant player with a degree of foresight and skill possesed by very few footballers.

The former Kampala City Council forward is regarded as the greatest footballer of all time.
