There was panic in Kira on Wednesday after a man was battered and robbed of his phone and money by unknown thugs on the run.
Muhammed Masalu a manager for Brac Uganda, Kireka branch was reportedly attacked at the Old Kira road by 3 thugs in the broad daylight at 11 am in the morning.
The thugs reportedly punched Masalu brutally in the face before running off with his wallet that had documents and an unspecified amount of money in it.
ASP Luke Owoyesigirye the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson says investigations are ongoing and a search is on for the thugs.
Owoyesigirye has appealed to the public to work with the police in identifying the thugs to avoid a repeat of a similar incident .
