Uganda U17 Women’s national team coach Ayub Khalifah Kiyingi has summoned a provisional squad of 30 players to start preparations ahead of the fixture against Cameroon in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

The team will enter residential camp on Monday at Cranes Paradise Hotel after undergoing the mandatory tests for Covid-19 as guided by the SOPs.

The team that played the previous games against Ethiopia and Tanzania has been maintained, however new faces some of which include goalkeeper Gift Nasasira from Maroons WFC, Winnifred Kwatulira from Jinja United FC, Devine Mirembe from Asubo Gufford Ladies FC and Kamuyati Naigaga.

The Uganda U17 women national team will play against Cameroon in a home and away basis and the winner between both ties will automatically qualify to the final World Cup tournament that will take place in India from 17th February to 7th March 2021.
