Delegates have started arriving at the opposition Forum for Democratic change headquarters in Najjanankumbi, to vote for the party presidential flag bearer for the forthcoming general election.

On Thursday, the National Council will officially decide on who will represent them in the ballot in 2021 general polls by voting between two contenders.

The aspirants FDC party chairman Wasswa Birigwa and the party president Patrick Amuriat recently concluded with their 1-month virtual campaigns after moving across the country convincing delegates why they should be chosen for Uganda’s top seat.

During today’s polls, only 350 out of 1,200 FDC delegates will participate in voting by the secret ballot exercise at Najjanakumbi

FDC delegates have often convened at the delegates’ conference at Namboole National stadium to elect the party president.
