Police in Kampala are struggling to remove the wreckage from a railway line at Namanve Industrial park after a cargo train rammed into a truck on Monday morning.
According to preliminary findings, the train was on transit from Jinja when it ran into the truck that was stuck along the railway under unclear circumstances.
Namanve area police attribute the accident to the poor conditions of the road that could have led to the truck failing to move.
The police also say no one was injured in the incident but only mechanical damages on both the train and trailer.
Police are currently at the scene removing the wreckage.
