Joint security operatives in Kampala this morning swiftly stormed and condoned off the National Unity Platform –NUP head offices based in Kamwokya.

The operatives including police and the army raided the offices at about 11:30 am in a fully loaded truck and army vehicles sealing off the offices and not permitting anyone to vacate the premises.

They later gathered promotional substances like T-shirts, umbrellas, badges, and bundled them into their well-positioned vehicles.

This happened shortly after the NUP Party leader and presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi had just held a presser on his next
the strategy that involved moving across the country to make known his presidential ambitions.

Only Journalists have been allowed to leave the premises while the rest stay in amidst heavy deployment.

Reasons for the raid are currently unknown although unconfirmed rumors point to enforcement to ban the use of the party’s signature Red Berets and documents.

The Uganda police that manned the operation is yet to issue an official statement on the vibrant attack.
