Ugandan folk singer, songwriter, and world music artist Giovanni Kremer Kiyingi is back with another banger.

The multi-talented singer who is known for his skills as a multi-instrumentalist’s new song “Shake O” is a fusion of Afro-soul and Pop with a blend of African Jazz that soothes the soul.

The singer who also plays the local Ugandan fiddle (endingidi), akogo, adungu, guitar, harmonica, flute, djembe, calabash, congas, drums, and maracas, among others, makes use of his wide range of skills on the instrumentals which are evident in his sound throughout.

In this new tune that he has dropped today, Kiyingi calls out his baby, honey, or sweetheart to shake the body for him. He also asks her to give him love as he will give it right back to her.

The audio that was produced by Andy Music carries some elements of the fluidity of the modern RnB genre.

Being a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and performer won him invitations to perform at major music festivals and co-operate events in Uganda and the rest of the world. His authenticity and sharing of his talent has enabled him to share the stage with other renowned artists from Uganda and across the continent like South Africa’s Mathambo, Mafikizolo, Ethiopia’s renowned Jazzist Mulatu Astatke (father of Etho- jazz) and Kenya’s Makadem, and Sarabi band and back home here with the likes of Janzi Band, Ssewa Ssewa, Mulatu Astatke, Milege, Joel Sebunjo, Suzan Kerunen, Afrigo Band, Haka Mukiga
To enrich his music further kiyingi added a classical guitar to a bunch of African instruments he plays which has made his music more and more beautiful.

Career Path
In 2008 Kiyingi started his career with a solo album “Essanyu ly’Omufilika” which means the joy of an African; the album was put on hold as he teamed up with other friends who shared the same vision to form Zivu Band with Kiyingi as the lead vocalist and instrumentalist. Zivu band then recorded an album called The Dawn that led to their tour in Europe.

His second album “Akondere” which means trumpets that received massive acclaim both locally and internationally was done while he pursued his Bachelor of Arts in music at Makerere University. ‘’Chengi’’ and ‘’Kama Dudu’’ the most recent ones are not doing badly either.

Shake Ko that is so easy on the ear and can as well make one shake the body, will be premiering officially on Monday and surely is bound to be one of his biggest songs that is a must-listen for music lovers.
