Excitement beams as the long-awaited second airbus long-range A330-800neofor Uganda has finally touched ground at ENTEBBE international airport costing 20 million dollars.

Uganda is the second country in the world after Kuwait to order and to receive this kind of airbus considering they are a new brand technology.

It is largely expected to widen transportation to various destinations with direct flights to Europe, Asia London Guangzhou, and Dubai,

Later in the year, the airline will expand its continental services later with new routes including South Africa, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe in the works.

The airlines placed an order for two A330-800neos in 2019 as part of its ambitious plans to expand beyond the continent.

The arrival of the new A330-800neo will make a total of six aircraft fleet for Uganda Airlines – two A330s and four CRJ-900s.

The A330 is in a three-class configuration – business, premium economy, and economy – with 20, 28, and 210 seats respectively. The cabin interior has already wowed the public and includes lie-flat business seats and ambient mood lighting.

The airbus will be received by the several government officials already present at the airport including  prime Minister of Uganda, Ruhakana Rugunda, Finance minister Matia Kasaija, Minister of transport Katumba Wamala, Minister Joy Kabatsi among others.
