Hosts Express FC are unbeaten in the league this season. In the six league games played so far, they have picked up three wins and shared spoils as many times.
KCCA FC can not afford to drop points especially in a fixture against old-time rivals Express FC.
Express’ Muzamiru Mutyaba will face his former employers for the first time since he parted ways with the club in June 2020. The other is former goal keepers’ coach Daniel Kiwanuka who switched to Express FC in the previous summer transfer window.

John Revita is the only KCCA FC player that has previously played for Express FC. The defender will not feature in this game because he is still undergoing rehabilitation on his knee.
“We will take the game so serious given its magnitude and history around it. It is a derby and derbies are won by teams that show the biggest of character on the day. We need to show that we want to win so that we can pick three points” KCCA Fc coach Mike Mutebi.

“We have prepared well for this game .Going into this game, we tried to correct our mistakes we had in our last game against URA FC where we failed to be clinical in front of goal yet we had many chances.I know this time we shall score goals against KCCA . KCCA FC is a good team but we are prepared to fight and maintain our unbeaten run but most importantly get the maximum points”.
KCCA FC travel to Wankulukuku following a line of identical 2-1 defeats against URA, SC Villa and BUL while Express head into the game after a 1-0 win away at URA FC. The victory followed a 1-1 draw against Champions Vipers at the venue where the 13 time league winners will be hosted.
