Museveni to drag the Daily monitor newspaper to court
President Yoweri Museveni has threatened to drag the Daily monitor newspaper to the courts of law for reportedly publishing false information about him.
While addressing the nation on Monday afternoon to celebrate International Women’s day, Sevo warned that he was ready to squeeze cash bags out of the newspaper for claiming he was secretly administered COVID -19 jabs .
”I am going to make some money from Daily Monitor. They lied that I had been vaccinated together with my wife. I am going to make them bankrupt unless they apologize and lie down. Ssabalwanyi doesn’t act like that.” – President Museveni.
The Daily monitor recently published an article claiming that Sevo and people within his inner circles had secretly received jabs of China’s Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine months ahead of health workers and other vulnerable groups in the country.

The monitor also quoted the source of their info as the Wall Street Journal, an American Newspaper.
”The Wall Street Journal, an American newspaper, reported on Thursday last week that “Members of President Yoweri Museveni’s inner circle were offered vaccines from China state-owned drugmaker Sinopharm.”
The wall street journal reported that the secret shots, masterminded by the Chinese government and meant to promote their vaccines, have also been reported in Peru and the Philippines.”
Following the infamous article, Don Wanyama, the senior press secretary to President Museveni, denied the allegation.
He clarified to the Daily monitor that the country is still waiting for doses of the vaccine and that when it comes, frontline workers will be prioritized.
“What do they mean by the inner circle? It is not true, from the best of my knowledge, people in Uganda have not received the vaccine, at least not yet,” Wanyama told the Daily Monitor.
