First Son Gets Covid -19 Jab
First son, Lt. Gen. Kainerugaba Muhoozi has joined the Ministry of Health in demystifying rumors that the Covid-19 vaccine is unsafe.
The first son has on Tuesday flooded his social media handles with news and pictures of how he has received his first jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Kainerugaba received the vaccine while officially rolling out vaccination campaign within Special Forces Command-SFC.
“Today, it was my pleasure to open the covid-19 vaccination campaign within SFC by taking my first shot of AstraZeneca vaccine. I thank H.E. @kagutamuseveni, the Ministry of Health, and our development partners for the quick acquisition and roll-out of this vaccine” – Muhoozi tweeted.
His vaccination comes amidst unfounded rumors that the jabs are unsafe for human consumption and allegations that the first family was secretly vaccinated with Jabs from China.

In his national adress on Sunday,President Museveni again trashed reports by the daily monitor that people within his closest circles had been vaccinated secretly.
The president threatened to sue the news paper in the courts of law if they fail to apologize in bold letters on the front page for misleading the public.
Museveni however said he is yet to take the Astra Zeneca jab because he wants health workers and other vulnerable groups to first get it.
Uganda officially kicked off the vaccination process on the 10th March 2021 starting with health workers and teachers .
150000 health workers and 556 000 teachers are benefiting from this 1st phase of vaccination.
The Commander of SFC joins the Minister of Health, Dr Ruth Jane Aceng amongst others who have already received the Covid Jab.
964,000 doses of Astra Zeneca have been received through donations from India.
