Kasango To Be Buried In 4 days
The court’s ruling of splashy deceased city lawyer being buried in Fortportal comes as a relief to his widow and family.
This follows a ruling by the Family Division of the High Court in Kampala in favour of his Wife’s decision .
Justice Lydia Mugambe Ssali today ruled ordering that the deceased is buried in Fort Portal, Kabarole District .
Kasango’s widow Nice Bitarabeho has been at loggerheads with her mother-in-law Rose Kabise for close to a month now on where to bury her husband.
Justice Mugambe further directed that the deceased be accorded a decent burial within 4 days from today and that his mother is allowed to attend.
Kasango To Be Buried In 4 days
Mugambe explained that she reached that decision because Kasango’s original roots were from Busoga and burying him in the Japadhola culture was not applicable .
Besides that, she indicated that the deceased lived a distant life from his parents, his family had no attachment to them and his mother Kabise was unknown to Kasango’s wife for many years after they met.
She mentioned Kasango’s failure to recognize Kabise at their wedding,
Kasango succumbed to heart-related complications at Luzira Prison, where he was serving a 16-year jail term for theft of more than 15 billion Shillings meant for pensioners.
