Couple Kidnaps 3yr Old
A 3year old child who was kidnapped from her home in Nsozibirye village in Luweero Sub-County has been found .
Namazzi Kisaakye was discovered alive and well by police cops and her father John Katumba at the residence of a couple in the neighboring village.
Police reports indicate that a case was filed by Nammazzi’s parents the day she went missing from home on 25, March 2021.
Haddijah Nabagala his mother told police that she left Namazi at home alone on that day at 6 am and proceeded to the market to buy tomatoes only to return an hour later to an empty house.
Locals and police mounted a hunt for the child until the Katumba spotted his daughter playing with other kids in a neighborhood of the suspects at Kibanvu village near Luweero Town Council.

Abraham Tukundane, the Luweero District Police Commander, says they have commenced investigations to establish how the minor ended up in the suspect’s home.
He says the suspects are currently in police custody on charges of kidnap and will be arraigned in court once investigations into the matter have been concluded.
The 2019 Uganda Police Annual Crime Report shows that 159 cases of kidnaps were registered throughout the country.
