Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s the National Unity platform-NUP strongman is still in tears after the Military court martial adjourned a bail hearing for 33 of its supporters to the 25th May 2021.

A fuming Bobi wine took to social media criticising the court for acting unjustly towards his supporters who were arrested in December 2020 during his campaigns for president.

Prosecution alleges that all the 49 suspects and others still at large were on January 3, at Makerere Kavule Kigundu zone found in possession of four rounds of ammunition which is a monopoly of the Defense Forces.

On Monday the group including Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s close confidant’s Musician Ali Bukeni alias Nubian Li, head of his personal bodyguards Eddy Ssebufu alias Eddie Mutwe, producer Dan Magic all appeared at the court-martial to get bail.

However, the hearing was adjourned after the state prosecutor Maj Emmy Ekyaruhanga informed court that the bail officers failed to show up because they were away on official duty.

The group who appeared pale and skinny is part of a bigger group that have been on remand at Kitalya prison since last year when they were arrested at Kalangala during NUP presidential campaigns.

Bobi wine tried to bring comfort to his supporters ,saying much as the journey is long and hard ,there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

“Our comrades appeared at the General Court Martial today for a bail hearing. They have yet again been sent back to Kitalya Prison. The quest for justice and freedom might be long and sometimes frustrating, but in the end, every pain and effort will be worth it.”

This is their 3rd attempt at bail at the Makindye Military barracks since they were locked up.

At one point NUP lawyers led by Antony Wameli gave up on the military court and run to the civilians court seeking justice but they were sent back to the court martial.
