A number of celebrities graduated at Makerere University’s 70th Graduation. The Ceremony that started on Monday has concluded today. This was the first-ever scientific graduation ceremony by the University due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some of the celebrities that graduated included, Joel Ssenyonyi, Shamim Malende, Solomon Sserwanja, Mable Twegumyw Zzake, Canary Mugume’s girlfriend Sasha Ferguson among others.
Sasha Ferguson who graduated in a yet-to-be-known course vowed to continue with humanitarian work after completing her studies soon after being announced.
On Friday Morning, Sasha Ferguson took to her social media platforms and posted “Now let’s seriously deal with mental health and also continue with our humanitarian work,”
Sasha and NBS Journalist Canary Mugume made headlines a few weeks ago when they shared photos of their engagement day, after dating for a decade. The couple is reportedly currently in the final stages of legalizing their bonking sessions.
The Makerere University 71st graduation ceremony which started on Monday 17th has ended today 21st May with graduands from the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology as well as the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The ceremony saw a total of 12,550 graduands secure degrees and diplomas in their respective courses. During this ceremony, 6,433 (51%) students were female while 6,117 (49%) male.
