Minister of Foreign Affairs designate Gen Jeje Abubaker Odongo has trashed reports he purchased a Shs 3.7 m face mask to avoid contracting Covid 19.
Social media went crazy yesterday following rumors that the Orungo county legislator turned up for vetting in the electronic mask valued at 4million shillings.
The mask is reportedly an electronic LG Puri Care rare type that filters air and has a battery life of 8 hours.
The mask believed to be the 1st of its kind in Uganda is yet to roll out its brand across Africa.

Jejje acknowledges the brand description of the mask but claims the mask is not worth that much.
“Who said it is UGX 3.7 million? I have been wearing this mask since November 2020, Anyway, it is an electronic mask. It has three filters. Two adjustable fans to the three levels to supply enough air while sitting walking or running,” he added.
