Machete-Wielding Thugs Rob Chinese
Police are hunting for a gang of criminals who broke into a Chinese residence, robbing 217 million shillings.
Kampala Metropolitan deputy Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire the thugs raided the residence at Kisingiri zone, Bunamwaya in Makindye Ssabagabo in Wakiso district, tied the Chinese with ropes before stealing their cash.
Owoyesigyire says the panga wielding goons scared off the housekeepers before attacking the Chinese.
“Thugs who were 10 in number and armed with pangas attacked the home of a Chinese businessman. They pounced on workers, tied them up and later broke into the main house where they robbed shs200million in Ugandan currency and $5000(shs17.7m),” Owoyesigyire said.

Owoyesigyire says efforts to track down the suspects are already underway and they will be arrested and charged.
A few months ago, a gang of 4 disguised as National Water and Sewerage Corporation-NWSC staff robbed over 100 m shillings from a Chinese home in Kyambogo, Nakawa Division, Kampala.
Similar to these latest robberies, the thugs also tied their victims with ropes before stealing from them.,
Some of the thugs were later tracked and nabbed on their way to the Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC for another mission.
