Man Murders 10yr- old maid
Police at Jinja Road has launched a manhunt for a male suspect in connection with the death of a 10-year-old girl.
The lifeless body of Ratifah Namawejje was discovered, wrapped in a sack, by locals at Katogo Zone, Kinawataka Village in Kampala.
By the time of her death, Namawejje was residing and working as a servant at the residence of Gerald Sematiko, who is currently on the run.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Luke Owoyesigire, who is the deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, says police recovered several exhibits at Sematiko’s residence that had blood stains on them and will be submitted to the forensic team for analysis.
“The police carried out a search in the said home and a blood-stained mosquito net, blanket, two cups and half stick of Marijuana were recovered,” he explained.
Owoyesigire said Sematiko would be arrested on allegations of murder.
The body was also taken to Kampala Capital City Authority mortuary at Mulago for a postmortem.
