The Federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA) has confirmed the match officials who will handle the three StarTimes Uganda Premier League matchday one games on Friday evening.

Lucky Kasalirwe has been assigned for the epic SUPL opener between the defending champions Express FC and Arua Hill SC at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wakulukuku.

He will be assisted by Isa Masembe and Mulindwa Hakim as the first and second assistants, respectively.

Naigaga Habiba will be the fourth official while Waiswa Ali will be the referee assessor.

At Kakyeka Stadium, celebrated FIFA referee Ali Sabila Chelengat will be in charge of the Mbarara City game with Soltilo Bright Stars.

Mustapha Mafumu and Noah Friday will work with Sabila as the first and second assistants respectively.

Shamirah Nabadda will be the fourth official and John Bosco Masiko the referee assessor.

The last game on Friday (Onduparaka FC Vs UPDF FC at the Greenlight Stadium, Arua) will be officiated by Opoi Deogratius who will be assisted by Agil Tonny and Mario Okwang.

Paul O’Mara has been assigned as the fourth official while Mike Letti will assess the referee at that game.

In the latest fixtures released earlier this week, 16-time record champions SC Villa were left out, while Busoga United, which was initially omitted, was included.

The Federation says that Villa does not have proper leadership and governance, yet these are mandatory requirements for club licensing.

The rest of the games will come on Saturday and Sunday with a number of teams in action.
