Rolex Initiative in partnership with United Nations Development Programme Uganda, and the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities are supporting the capacity building program “RolexPreneur” to revive more than 500 street vendors in the Rwenzori region.
It’s no secret that Rolex has graduated from just a street to a National Culinary Identifier of Uganda, one other meal flies with the national carrier up into the skies.
Rolex or fast food street Vending is one of the low entry barrier businesses that the majority of youths and women have immersed their capacities in to support their livelihoods. With the advent of Covid, their survival has been threatened further due to working for limited hours, lack of legal and safe environments, and financial exclusion.
Therefore Rolex Initiative in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, Uganda, and the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities-Uganda are supporting v the capacity building program “RolexPreneur to revive more than 500 street vendors in the Rwenzori region.

On Wednesday 3rd November Rolex Initiative team made way to the Western part of Uganda to assess the actual state of vendors in what they termed as site visits ahead of training.
