Prisons Netball club is heated up to commencing the final round of the Uganda Netball Super League on high gears after finishing second during the first half tenure of the season, the club only lost once to bitter rivals NIC in the campaign so far. This is according to the Prisons Netball club media team.

Jovial as she was, Head Coach Imelda Nyongesa said the player turn up during trainings have been so good of late, we registered a full house and all the girls are ready, fit, proven to show case.

She also highlighted that one or two mistakes that were made in the first round have all been rectified, so as a Prisons Service, we are more than ready to register 100% winning streak again.

The club is privileged not to have registered any major injury concerns following the festivity break which has been used as a recovery process according to the club’s physio team.

Madam Imelda further said her team is motivated to finish as League Champions of the 2021-2022 League and witness Prisons representing Uganda at the East Africa club Netball championships again that will be hosted in Kampala later this year, “They are not afraid of any one, when i look direct into their eyes, I realise that there is something special they are eyeing none other than the title, their spirits have risen so strong that other opponents might face it rough this time around” she added.

Speaking to the Skipper Ajio Lillian, she expressed gratitude to all her fellow team mates for exhibiting positive attitude during all training sessions, “Given the current mood in the camp, we are destined to torment Posta by a bigger margin and maintain the bragging rights while protecting our brand as a Netball power house in Uganda, I welcome back all our players and fans to the second of the league which will be so unique and special”.

The club is motivated by the return of her key players who have been sidelined for long due to Maternity leave including Stella Nanfuka and Juliet Nakafero. They are all back to guide the team to supremacy of the UNSL.

It is also important to note that all the players are available for selection as Prisons Netball Club visit Posta Uganda at Kibuli this Saturday, second round actions of the Netball Super League resume.
