Man kills former boss’s child

Police at Entebbe have one suspect in connection to the death of a three-year-old child who was killed after disappearing mysteriously from home.

The victim, Katende Jalia a resident of jungo Kitolo Cell, Kasanje town council in Wakiso district was first reported missing by her parents on February, 27.

The suspect identified as Lubega John, was working as a casual labourer at Katende’s residence but left dissatisfied and demanding 470,000 shillings from the deceased’s parents. The parents told police that the minor was holding the mother’s phone when she suddenly went missing.

Luke Owoyesigirye the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson told our reporter Minah Nalule that the deceased’s lifeless body was discovered about 150 m from the parent’s place of residence.

He explians that the mother’s phone was tracked and later recovered with Lubega. He says Lubega confessed that he wanted to recover his debt from the deceased’s parents.

Son murders 60 year old father over land

Meanwhile, Police in Rukungiri are hunting for a suspect who allegedly murdered his 60 years old father in a land dispute.

The suspect, Justus Berebera reportedly killed Takwesire Narisasio a resident of Rubira Cell, Ibanda Parish Nyarushanje Sub county, Rubabo County, Rukungiri district.

It’s alleged that on Thursday afternoon, the deceased left his home to attend a burial of his neighbor’s child. After the burial, he proceeded to Maziba Trading Centre to booze on local brew at a bar belonging to one Tugeineyo Evelyne.

Takwesire however met Berebera at the same bar and a deep heated fight ensued between the two over the long disputed piece of land.

Elly Maate the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson says Police later received a complaint from the wifeto the deceased Kembabazi Kellen, that her husband never returned home.

Maate says Takwesire left the bar fine but failed to reach home, he says a hunt was launched and his lifeless body discovered at 6:00 am on Friday morning at a footpath leading to Kambuga Primary School by pupils.

He says the matter was reported to Rubabo Police station, and the scene was visited by OC Station , OC CID , CI and other personnel, Some exhibits including a boxer was recovered from the scene.

Maate says the body has been conveyed to Kisiizi Hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
