Why KCCA FC have failed

KCCA FC finished the season in second position with 56 points collected from the 30 games having collected 15 wins, 11 draws and four losses. In a chat with Tom Matovu who acts as the spokesperson of the kcca funs wing, we tried to come up with the following reasons why kcca fc performed the way it did in the recently concluded season.

Complacence. KCCA FC only dropped four Points in the first 10 matches, drawing to Bright Stars (1-1) and Vipers (2-2), they picked maximum points from the other fixtures after these couple of games they started getting mixed results with back to back draws against Villa away and Express at home.

Onduparaka Saga. Abandonment of match day 13 against Onduparaka in West Nile, whatever happened after this game disorganized them.

Failing to maintain the lead. In most of the crucial games, KCCA FC could have a chance to seal a win against the opponents but the mantle of keeping this lead has been poor, games against SC Villa in Njeru, Vipers in Kitende, EXPRESS in Wankulukuku.

Poor officiation and Influence of FUFA. A lot was observed in the KCCA FC game against URA in Ndejje where the officials canceled two of the Sadat Anaku goals, at least one could stand and the way FUFA handled the issue of Ond-KCCA saga showed biasness.

Injuries. Looking at their immediate opponent, Vipers have had little of injury cases compared to KCCA FC who have been disturbed a lot by Injuries most especially to first line up players, Emmanuel Wasswa, Geoffrey Wasswa, Gift Ali, Peter Magambo, Sadat Anaku, Julius Poloto, Herbert Achai, Yasser Mugerwa, Patrick Kaddu.

Failure of Players to understand what a KCCA FC budge means. All the senior players signed to help the team gain short term success have disappointed and they at some instances failed to die a little for the budge.

Technical team loopholes. The team failed to use and give a spot to who should be number one goal keeper, changing goalkeepers in every match could have affected the performance of these individuals, Benjamin Ochan and Derick Ochan.

Why KCCA FC have failed

Derrick gave away a goal against Express in Wankulukuku (2-2) while Benjamin gave away a goal in Bombo against Onduparaka replay (1-1).

Denying young players a chance. KCCA failed to use mixed blood line ups, selecting only old players looked to be evident not helping the team, at times young players should be trusted and given chance to play because they look to be hungry
