Abdul Lumala switches
Uganda Premier League champions Vipers sc have completed the signing of winger Abdul Lumala he has put pen to paper on a two year employment contract.
Lumala came close to joining record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa in the January transfer window before the move fell through having trained with them at Uganda Martyrs secondary school where Vipers were training at that time.
He has been a free agent since the termination of his contract at Egyptian side Pyramids. The speedy winger featured for the Uganda Cranes at the 2019 AFCON Finals held in Egypt and started all the four games for the national side under the stewardship of Uganda Cranes gaffer Sebastien Desabre.
For starters, Lumala made his Cranes’ debut during the International friendly against Asian country Turkmenistan in 2019 that was preparing the team for AFCON held in Egypt.
He has previously featured for Kalmar FF (Sweden) had a loan spell at Syrianska before joining Pyramids.
Uganda Cranes forward Abdu Lumala expressed his pleasure at scoring his first international goal for the national team.
Lumala found the back of the net in the 89th minute for a late Uganda Cranes consolation goal despite a 3-2 loss to South Africa in a friendly game.

The attacker was returning from a career threatening knee injury he sustained while on duty for Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids in June last year.
Lumala has joined last season’s Startimes Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club and rumours have it in corridors that Uganda Cranes midfielder Farouk Miya is also on the verge of joining his former side as well as they prepare to represent the country in the CAF Champions League.
