Stingy Energy Drink

Sting Energy Drink has unveiled a two-year partnership with the Uganda Boxing Champions League, as its Exclusive Energy Drink Partner at the Copper Chimney restaurant in Lugogo.

Sting is the leading energy drink in the market, produced by Crown Beverages Limited the makers of Pepsi. It was launched in Uganda in 2016.

The press conference was graced by Captain Mike Mukula who is the federation patron, Ms. Grace Namutebi the brand manager of Stingy Energy Drink, Sula Kamoga who represented Top-Boy Promotions and Moses Muhangi the Uganda Boxing Federation president.

“Many people didn’t understand the idea of Champions League when it was brought into existence last year in December, now it has started bringing out fruits.” Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi.

Whereas Sting is venturing into Ugandan boxing for the first time, it has a long history of iconic international Boxing partnerships like the Manny Pacquiao endorsement in the Philippines.

Sting’s platinum sponsorship is valued at UGX 285,000,000 and covers sponsorship fees,
product, venue branding and fight night activations.

The federation’s patron has said that the budget of boxing has before been 300m per year and currently it has increased the budget to three billions.

“Sting is a very popular drink and it comes at a right time to baptize boxing with a new dimension since it’s an energy drink, therefore i encourage the people of Uganda to take this drink since it has been tasted, lasts longer therefore it’s the duty of Uganda Boxing Federation to popularize this drink.” Capt. “By the time we started these negotiations, the league had began already and we saw it relevant to deal with them due to the massive following the sport has and the mileage they are to give us in return.” Grace Namutebi, Brand manager Stingy Energy Drink.

The scope of the sponsorship will include pre-event all access drives, face offs on the eves of the fights and the official fight nights, which shall be held monthly at the MTN Arena.
