Two by-elections held Thursday saw the ruling party, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) take all the seats.
The double by-elections were held in Gogonyo (Paliisa) and Bukimbiri (Kisoro).
In Gogonyo, Derrick Orone, the former manager of Eddie Kenzo, Mary Bata, Grenade Official and King Saha among others – polled 19,199 votes compared to Joseph Okoboi (519 votes) of the National Unity Platform (NUP).

In Bukimbiri, NRM’s Eddie Kwizera returned to Parliament after thumping Asgario Turyagenda (Independent) by 12,214 votes against 10,105.
