Refreshed Man Utd

The Premier League’s midweek action culminates at the King Power Stadium with struggling Leicester City hosting Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

Following back-to-back wins, Man Utd sit 12th in the table – four points outside the top four and nine points behind first-place Arsenal.

At the opposite end of the standings, Leicester find themselves rock bottom five points behind Manchester United with a solitary point to their name.

The Foxes kicked off their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Brentford. Since then, however, they have registered three consecutive losses in the Premier League.

Having fallen to Arsenal (4-2), Southampton (2-1) and Chelsea (2-1), Brendan Rodgers’ boys find themselves looking up at the rest of the league.

Leicester can take confidence from the fact that they have only lost three of their previous 21 home encounters across all competitions.

As for Man Utd, they kicked off their campaign with back-to-back losses. After losing 2-1 to Brighton, they suffered a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Brentford.

However, the Red Devils have bounced back since then beating Liverpool 2-1 before picking up a 1-0 victory over Southampton last time out.

It is worth noting that Man Utd have only managed to win one of their past eight away games in the Premier League.

Still, ten Hag’s men will be confident of notching their third successive Premier League win when they take on struggling Leicester.

Head-to-head: Leicester have only managed to win three of their previous 22 Premier League meetings with the Red Devils.

It is also worth pointing out that Man Utd have not lost the first half in any of their last 18 league matches against the Foxes.

Refreshed Man Utd

Team news: Leicester pair Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand will miss Thursday’s clash due to injury, while James Maddison is also a doubt.

Man Utd will be without the injured duo of Brandon Williams and Victor Lindelof. There are also question marks over the fitness of Anthony Martial.
