SafeBoda officially launches its safe Car

SafeBoda has on Thursday officially launched its SafeCar services to the public intended to provide convenient transport to Ugandans.

SafeCar, service offered by SafeBoda Uganda lets customers order a car to pick them up and drive them to their preferred destinations. One can use the SafeBoda Super app to order a car for pick up.

The co-founder of SafeBoda Ricky Rapa Thomson in an interview says their ambition is to help Ugandans be able to receive better travel and safety, affordability and convenience as their key value propositions.

Rapa however cautions their users to share with them feedback just in case they don’t receive better service.

Rapa adds that the safe boda car service is a convenient solution to transportation in Uganda and that this will be entirely cashless. He also states that the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) has assured them of Data privacy and compliance.

“We are in very close contact with NITA-U which is the umbrella body and regulator when it comes to data privacy and data compliance in this country,” Rapa said.

Initially launched in Kampala, safe boda connected passengers with boda-boda services, while also offering additional financial services.

SafeBoda hosts a community of over 27,000 motorbike riders that transport customers within the Kampala Metropolitan region.
