Bebe Cool takes the lead as a number of top Ugandan artists congratulate Kenzo upon scooping a Grammy nomination

Renowned singer Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo, has been nominated in the 2023 Grammy Awards under the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category, becoming the second Ugandan artiste to get a nomination at the prestigious awards after the ‘Abayudaya’ group got the nod in 2005.

Musuuza has in the past won BET, Nickelodeon Awards among others. He has on several occasions made headlines on a number of issues both politically and musically.

He and Matt B have been nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for their song, Give Me Love, alongside Arooj Aftab and Anoushka Shankar, Burna Boy, Rocky Dawuni and Blvk H3ro, and Bayethe Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode.

Upon learning about his nomination, a number of great Ugandan musicians led by Gagamel Chief Moses Ssali a.k.a Bebe Cool took to social media to congratulate him on the big achievement.

“Congratulations my young brother Eddy Kenzo on your Grammy nomination, your humble behavior will always be the key to open all your opportunities. May Allah bless you more coz this nomination is a win for you and all of us as Ugandans. Lets bring this Grammy to Uganda” Bebe Cool posted.

In the same vein, music legend, Jose Chameleone to his social media pages and posted;

“UNLIMITED! Congrats Champ, Grammy Grammy Grammy. Let’s proud again.#EddieKenzo #KaanaKambaata.”
