Old Kampala hospital has given an ultimatum of 7 days to Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago to issue a public apology over defamatory statements against them in the alleged kidney harvest scandal.
This follows a move by a one Mohammed Kabanda running to Lukwago through his law chamber Lukwago and Company Advocates alleging that the facility removed his left kidney yet he had gone for treatment for injuries he sustained during a road accident.
However investigations done by Uganda Medical Practitioners Council indicate that Kabanda was born with one kidney.
Speaking to the press tody, Old Kampala hospital director, Faisal Kazibwe says that Lukwago’s statements have negatively affected them to an extent of loosing patients who used to visit the hospital before.
He says failure to do so they are ready to file a suit against him before courts of law.
