Talent Africa hosted the first edition of the monthly Jameson & friends, last Sunday, the 27th of November at the MOTIV warehouse in the industrial area which featured performances from Nigerian Star – Skales and Uganda’s music sensation Joshua Baraka.


Jameson & Friends is one of the brand’s social networking events that focus on bonding old and new
friends with interactive games, BBQ, good music washed down by a smooth Irish whiskey – Jameson.
Happening during the world cup season, this edition also played as a Canadian watch party with a
number of Canadians living in Uganda in attendance. Guests bonded over games including Jenga,
Matatu, PlayStation, Foosball, Pool, Sack Toss, Ring Toss and darts.


Radiocity’s Sammy Wetala was the night’s host, with DJs Tonny, Vee and Kas Baby. Talented R&B and
Afro-pop sensation Joshua Baraka also serenaded guests with his silky-smooth vocals and interactive
interludes, narrating the inspiration behind some of his songs. Nigerian rising stars – Bolu and Tome also
entertained the excited audience.


Skales’ performance climaxed the night, giving guests an epic interactive musical experience as he
performed major hits, paying tribute to artists like Burna Boy and Davido who he has collaborations
with.

He was joined by famous dancers including Uncle Walter, Dance Mamweta, Icy Sonie and DTrix.
Talent Africa will also host the Jameson Hangout on December 18th at Motiv, featuring live musical
performances, DJ mixes, Pop up Fashion, Style & Barber shops, Games, and a live screening of the world
cup finals on giant screens.
