In what appears a 2023 openner, so far, five VIPs have died in a period on about three months.

They are: Simon Toolit Aketcha, National Unity Platform’s parliamentary flag bearer in the last year’s Omoro County by-elections; Dr Hassan Galiwango, Uganda’s high commissioner to Kenya and Seychelles; Anthony Wameli, NUP’s Head of Legal; Columnists and sportsman, John Nagenda; and Kenneth Kakuru, the Justice of the Court of Appeal, who just died in Nairobi days ago.

Importantly, however, these all died under totally very different circumstances.

For instance, Wameli, died in the United States after months of battling cancer.

While the whole country, friends and relatives mourn, the Book of Romans (14:8) says that “If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord.”

“Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to God.”
