GNL, Gravity Omutujju missing as Navio names top 3 Ugandan rappers

Over the years, rap music has grown in the Ugandan space.

Back in the day, GNL Zamba, Navio, et all dominated the genre.

However, things have changed lately with a number of new kids on the block coming through.

These are Fik Famica, Ruyonga, Ffefe Bussi, Da Agent and Gravity OMutujju among others.

Days ago, Navio also known as Daniel Kigozi stopped by Galaxy FM for an exclusive interview with the Morning Saga crew. The man from Rubaga talked a number of things in reference to questions fired at him.

One of the questions Navio responded to with ease was those he thought tops Uganda’s rap list.

According to Navio, his top three Ugandan rappers are: Navio, Tom The ‘Mith’ Mayanja and Flex D’Paper

He, however, gave mentions to Fik Fameica and Taka HD

Neither GNL nor Gravity featured on Navio’s list.

Would they have featured if the list was open (to say, 5 or 10?)

Speaking about his relationship with Gravity, Navio said he respects the Tusimbudde singer.

“He has energy, works hard but i likes his energy and that’s the reason i responded to him,” Navio said explaining that: “If you every say my name and i remain silent, you know your place.”

“But if you say my name and i respond to you, you should feel good.”

I respect him, he said of Gravity. “It’s a bit toxic relationship.”

“He abused me, he apologized, he abused me, he apologized but yeah..”

It is, however, important to note that in the music business, issues between artistes are viewed as showbiz.
