Dead University student linked to shot female police officer

The deceased Sarah Naturinda’s rotting body was discovered by locals in her rental room on Tuesday night at 11:00 pm.

The deceased was a second-year student at Kabale university who resided in Rwamukundi village, Kirigime ward, Southern division in Kabale Municipality. Naturinda was reportedly engaged in a love affair with one Dennis Arineitwe, an ex-lover to a police officer who was shot dead by Aineitwe.

On Sunday, Caroline Komuhangi a police constable attached to the Filed Force Unit-FFU was shot dead at 9:00 am, by her ruthless ex-husband Arineitwe, also tailor in Kabale Town and a resident of Nyakahanga village, Kazindiro parish, Bugangari sub-county, Rukungiri district.

The couple of one child had a long standing wrangles that caused them to split up over one year ago. However, despite the break up, Arineitwe reportedly continued bothering his ex -lover for a reconciliation but in vain.

Komuhangi had accused Arinetwe of smashing a campus babe at Kabale University. She also accused her ex of exploitation for snatching her Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) card to cater to his other romps.

On that fateful day, Arineitwe dashed into his ex-lover’s uni-port at the police barracks while she was asleep, woke her up. The two reportedly a loud bitter argument that ended in the firing of bullets, he also shot himself and was consequently admitted at Kabale main hospital where he remains to date.

Now according to Naturinda’s father, Naris Ndanganwa, his campus daughter was last spotted in a heated fight with her boyfriend Arineitwe, by neighbors on Sunday morning.

It is alleged that Arineitwe sent a letter to one of his friends informing him to sneak into Naturinda’s room and collect all his clothes and documents.

Diaz Drake Owoyesigyire, the Kabale University Guild President, says that with the help of police, they took the body to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem. 

Owoyesigyire says this is an eye-opener to other students to stop involving themselves in unnecessary love affairs.
