“BITTER TRUTH Its unfortunate that my neighbor didn’t succeed at Grammy Awards but my self what i think is, you never know if it was Big Eye, Azawi, Daddy Andre, Apass, Fik Fameica, Spice Diana, Sheebah, Lydia Jazmine, Rema etc..May be so many international awards would have been in Uganda. But the Nigga kept all international contacts & Connections for him self for like 9years now. So some people don’t deserve to use the motto of “FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY” coz inside their hearts there is “FOR GOD AND MY SELF.”

The above are words of singer Big Eye. He made this statement early this year in regards to why Ugandan music isn’t going that far.

While many players in the industry looked at Big Eye a certain way, Fredrick Elvis Kirya, best known as Vampino seems to agree with Big Eye. According to Vampino, Ugandan music isn’t going far because of the disunity, ego and selfishness.

Vampino was Friday morning appearing on Zzina Morning Saga when he said that artistes with international links or connections keep such connections to themselves. As such, he says Nigerians, and Tanzanians are doing well because they are united in the industry.
