Dan Magic Defends Bobi Wine’s ‘Poorly Produced’ Nalumansi

Singer turned politician, Bobi Wine released a new song titled “Nalumansi” last week. For his legion of supporters, whatever Bobi Wine touches, turns to gold.

However, a section of social media users, media personalities, including renowned music analysts, came out and criticized the audio quality of “Nalumansi.”

Despite the song’s popularity, (which many attribute to Bobi’s political influence) especially on YouTube with over 300,000 YouTube views in less than two weeks, music critics like Eddie Ssendi believe that Bobi Wine and his producer Dan Magic, are detached from the country’s music trends, currently.

Ssendi says that as much as Nalumansi has a richly positive message, the NUP honcho should at least switch to other producers going forward, with claims that Dan Magic seems to be working against him.

However, speaking during an interview, producer Dan Magic, the brain behind most of Bobi Wine’s recent projects since 2016, defended himself as disclosed that actually three more producers were actively involved in the creation of the song.

“By the way, I didn’t produce that song alone, at Firebase, we do as a team when it comes to Bobi Wine’s songs,” said Dan Magic.

He added, “For ‘Nalumansi’, I worked with Paddy Man and Tony Houls. These are among the best producers in the country.”

Dan Magic believes that they did a good job on the song; however, those who criticize it are merely expressing their political rage.

The producer also thinks that some listeners simply failed to understand the song’s message.
