Police: Jajja Iculi assassin dropped glove while escaping, driver taken in for ”protective custody”
Police in Kampala have divulged fresh details over the death of social media Vlogger Isma Ibrahim Tusubira alias Olaxess alias Jajja Iculi.
Jajja Ichuli was killed in cold blood by unknown killers at the gate of his home located in Kyanja, Kawempe Division on Saturday at 9:20 pm. His assassins fired several bullets at him as he occupied the co-driver’s his car awaiting the opening of the gate.
The two criminals reportedly checked to confirm he was dead, before escaping the scene to the main road where they boarded a motorcycle.
His driver identified as Mathias Wasswa who escaped death with no scratch quickly run to the nearest police station and alerted police. Police sent forensic teams to the scene to collect evidence as other detectives used sniffer dogs to trace the unknown assassins.
Police scratched up to 1 kilometre from the crime scene to get a wind of the fugitives on CCTV footage but has not been successful thus far.

Fred Enanga, the Spokesman for Uganda Police says the driver, Wasswa, has been netted because he survived bullets targeted at his seat. He says the driver is helping police with relevant investigations.

“Besides bullets that riddled the drivers side, he escaped unscathed and because of that the driver remains in our protective custody, helping out with certain lines of inquires,” says Enanga.
He adds that two other suspects (names withheld) have been arrested too in connection to the crime and that police officers continue to gather evidence, interrogate witnesses and arrest suspects.
Enanga however says police canine dogs led police detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) forensic, IT directorate and other KMP teams to a glove believed to have been used by one of the assailants.
“The two assailants managed to escape on foot but the canine trailed their scent up to the main road where it is believed they boarded a motorcycle. They dropped a glove which is believed to have been used by the shooter that the canine picked.”
He further says that police are also reviewing the movement of the victim, and his driver from Munyonyo where he had gone to play football.
“He played football at 4:00 pm then moved via the Entebbe expressway, they stopped for dinner at Nyakana’s bar in Mutungo until 8:15 pm for his home,” he said.
