Shock as body of man with hands tied, hanged on a tree is retrieved from Nakulabye
The Police at Old Kampala is currently investigating an incident that occurred in Masiro Zone 3 of Nakulabye Parish, Rubaga Division.
The incident was reported today at 0646hours by concerned members of the public, specifically boda boda riders, who suspect it to be a case of murder by hanging involving an unidentified male adult in his early 30s, the body was found hanging on the tree and both hands tied together.
According to Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, Nakulabye Police, in collaboration with the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) officers, swiftly cordoned off the scene .
The investigation is still ongoing, “and further details will be provided as they become available.”
“Old Kampala Police is committed to thoroughly investigating this incident to establish the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased individual.”
Owoyesigyire urged members of the public to remain calm and patient as “we conduct our investigation.”
“Anyone with any information that could assist us in our inquiries is kindly requested to come forward and cooperate with the police,” he added.
