Performing live in Kampala for his fourth time- this time round for the second time- at the Kololo Independence Grounds, the Tanzanian super star, Diamond Platnumz took a few minutes off to send a shout-out to his former lover, Zari Hassan and the kids, and send props to music legend, Jose Chameleone.

This is special dedication to the mother of my kids,” he announced as the crowd went crazy.

“Do you know why?…because she blessed me with two kids…beautiful kids; Latifa and Nilan and I love them very much. And as you know, these are my very first kids.”

Diamond then went on to do a rendition of a Luganda song, “Nkumira Omukwano” by Aziz Azion, with help from an engaging crowd.

Through the electrifying performance, Diamond made mention of Zari in different songs including “Utanipenda” which he released seven years ago lamenting about their then struggling relationship with the Ugandan socialite.

Diamond had earlier in the build up to the show, talked at length about his relationship with Zari, explaining that the two are currently doing well co-parenting their kids, even though they are no longer together.

The Bongo Flava star also made special mention of Jose Chameleone during the night, describing him as a continental legend, and one that taught him much in his career.

“I want you to understand something, that Jose Chameleone is our East African icon not only in East Africa but Africa as a whole,” he said.

I want the people of East Africa to understand his value,” he said, before before performing Chameleone’s “Mama Mia’.

The Comedy Store fundraising concert also had thrilling performances from Alien Skin, Winnie Nwagi, Spice Diana, as well as performances from several top local comedians.
