I’m here, come and arrest me – Besigye tells Court
Veteran political activists, Col Rtd Dr. Kizza Besigye has responded to Court’s warrant of arrest, telling the Courts to arrest him instead.
Earlier, Buganda Road Court issued an arrest warrant against Besigye and his accomplice, Lubega Mukaku. They are battling charges of inciting violence, a case coming from their rally in downtown Kampala.
In a tweet Thursday afternoon, Besigye says he has not run away as alleged.
“Just learnt of the Court hearing this morning! I’ve never run away from the uncountable TRUMPED-UP charges. I am available for arrest, as ordered,” Besigye said.
