Entertainment scene has been thrown into a storm after a shocking video surfaced online showing celebrated musician Weasel Manizo viciously assaulting a man he accused of trying to rob his car.

The Goodlyfe star was caught on camera wielding a heavy rod as he repeatedly struck the suspected thief, ignoring the man’s desperate cries for mercy. Eyewitnesses claim Weasel demanded to know the man’s name, where he came from, and what business he had snooping around his car, all while mercilessly thrashing him.

The graphic clip, now circulating on social media, has sparked outrage and concern from both fans and authorities. Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed that police had received the footage and are reviewing the incident.

Onyango warned the singer and the public at large against vigilante justice:

“If you catch someone red-handed in your car, don’t take the law into your hands. Hand them over to police or your LC. If that person dies, we will find you and charge you with murder.”

While police have not yet confirmed whether Weasel will face charges, insiders say the warning is a clear message: no one, not even celebrities, is above the law.

This latest controversy piles onto the troubled musician’s checkered reputation, reigniting debates about celebrity impunity, mob justice, and the dangers of trial-by-violence.

As the video continues to trend, many are asking: Did Weasel cross the line from self-defense to criminal assault?
