Eddy Kenzo has turned up the volume… not with a new hit song, but with a bold declaration about his role on Presido, Sevo’s campaign trail.

After weeks of whispers about backstage drama, Kenzo finally stepped to the mic to clarify where he stands in the political symphony that has become the President’s 2026 re-election movement.
According to Kenzo, his beat no longer syncs with Bebe Cool’s.
“Personally, I am the leader of musicians in Uganda and also advise the President on creatives,” Kenzo said confidently. “I’m not under Bebe Cool… there was some confusion, I now work directly with the President.”
That statement hit like a drum solo.
Reports have long hinted at bad blood between the two heavyweights, said to be feuding over the control and perhaps the cash chords behind mobilizing artists for the President’s nationwide rallies. Sources close to the stage describe the relationship as “cold but professional,” a polite way of saying there’s no harmony, but the show must go on.

Kenzo, who wears two big hats (Presidential Advisor on Creatives and leader of musicians in Uganda) insists his role is about “unity among creatives” and ensuring that “everything concerning musicians runs smoothly.”
Still, observers can’t help but note the growing rift between Uganda’s top musical exports, both of whom have been instrumental in rallying support for Museveni.
With Kenzo now claiming a direct line to State House and Bebe Cool still firmly in the mix, one thing’s clear: the political playlist just got a remix and everyone’s waiting to see who takes the lead verse in this campaign collaboration.
