UNEB Suspends Release Of Final Exams For Candidates
The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has suspended releasing the 2020 national examinations following the national lockdown.
The examination body had previously planned to release Primary Leaving Examinations -PLE by the end of June 2021 but that has since changed.
Jennifer Kalule Musumba, the UNEB mouthpiece says the lockdown has led to incapacity in ensuring the timely delivery of the examinations because of absence of staff.
‘With this lockdown, our capacity is already compromised because we have closed all offices until further notice, as of now, we are closed’.She says
Kalule says the release of results has also dragged on because of delays in the swearing in of ministers responsible for the management of the examination body.
