Bobosi hit a striking equaliser for Vipers SC in the 89th minute

Bobosi Byaruhanga was crowned Uganda’s best player at the FUFA Airtel Awards held in Kampala on Saturday.
Rival fans disagreed with FUFA on the choice of the winner Bobosi for the award claiming Express FC striker Eric Kambale who was the top scorer, won league and CECAFA, deserved the award.
The Vipers SC gem has been part of the Cranes set up that played in the qualifiers for World Cup and the Under 20 team that reached the finals of the Afcon.
He then won the Stanbic Uganda Cup with his club. Many argue his achievements did not measure up to Kambale’s triple chase with his club Express FC.
KCCA FC fans who thronged St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende turned their guns on the Cranes midfielder booing him for the better part of the afternoon.
Vipers SC head coach Roberto was not moved an inch by the boos from the rival fans. You would have expected him to cow easily by withdrawing the midfielder.
KCCA FC who are yet to lose a game in the league were in the comfort zone and appeared to be running away with the game and three points.
It would have been a big blow to a side that has spent a lot to reclaim the title from Express FC. Sadat Anaku opened the floodgates with a sweet left foot volley in the 5th minute.
Vipers SC levelled matters with man of the match Caesar Manzoki in the 26th minute after a beautifully crafted goal which started with Willa to Bobosi who then picked the Congolese before exchanging passes with Karisa.
Then Yasser Mugerwa sent KCCA FC fans in a frenzy with a thunderous volley beyond the reach of Fabian Mutombora in the 56th minute.
The club Twitter admin jumped to convince their fans it was the ‘goal of the season’. The admin had no idea what was about to happen to them.
Bobosi the man from the mountains of Kisoro had other ideas. His sensational strike a minute to the end of normal time silenced the yellows fans and erupted at St. Mary’s Stadium with home fans taking charge.
He capped the afternoon with his finger to his lips sending a message to the rival fans he is the rightful king of the game in the country at the moment.
